• Question: whats the difference between neutrinos and dark matter?

      Thanks for this great question!

      So neutrinos and dark matter are very similar! They are both neutral (meaning that they do not interact with light) and possibly fundamental (meaning that they cannot be split into smaller pieces, although this might not be the case for dark matter).

      They are so similar that in fact, some people thought that neutrinos could be dark matter!! The problem is that neutrinos are very very light, and we know that Dark matter should be heavier than that, so they have to be different type of particles.
