I think it depends at which scale you are asking, but there are many different minerals and elements that make up our Earth, from the core at its very centre to the surface.

I think if it heats up a LOT, these elements will melt, as most of them have a particular temperature for which they change from being a solid to being a liquid (the so-called melting point). We would probably die and Earth would be like a hot liquid sphere, just like the Sun!

      Hi!

We are currently experiencing the earth heating up – this is global warming and climate change! We are seeing the effects of the Earth hearing up with the polarsea ice melting quicker than in the last few thousand years – this is causing animals like Polar Bears to not be able to hunt – and if this carries on – they will eventually die out – which is really sad!

The earth is made up of loads of elements from the core to the surface. If the Earth heated up more and more and more – then these elements would change coalese into particles that would form a hot liquid sphere – much like any star!
