• Question: is there a chance that robots could be more intelligent then humans one day and become dominant over us?

      In all seriousness, it’s very possible that robots will be as, or even more intelligent than humans… We are well on the way to developing robots that can have a human sense of time, have emotions, and can be more human like.

      Intelligent artificial life is not far away – however, when a robot does eventually become conscious (Google ‘technological singularity’); I imagine that there will be a ‘safe-key’ – where we will be able to shut the system down if it becomes dominant or dangerous. However, if an artificial intelligence becomes conscious – will it be ethical or moral to build in a safe-key? Who are we to say whether an intelligent being should be controlled by us? Interesting questions!
