In what sense do you mean “deal with radiation”?

If you mean how we might clean up after a radiation accident, then I think that the current plans are a pretty good approach – assessing the situation, looking at what the risks to health are, considering the options for what might be done, and importantly talking to the involved parties to discuss priorities and then pulling together a plan to do what’s best to protect people and improve the environment.
