The ozone layer is an agglomeration of ozone which is a gas made of Oxygen (O3).

Now, this layer is very important, because the ozone molecules can absorb the harmful rays from the sun (the so-called, ultraviolet radiation) and reflect them away from us! So the ozone layer is the reason why we do not get many skin diseases due to rays emitted by the Sun, that is why it is a big problem that it is becoming thinner and thinner.

Hi! It’s a layer in the earth’s stratosphere at an altitude of about 10 km (6.2 miles) containing a high concentration of ozone, which absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation reaching the earth from the sun. 🙂
