• Question: I think what you are doing is really cool and interesting! looking into the future and once you have achieved your goal how do you think the world will react to robots being so advanced and similar to humans?

      Hi!

      Thank you for the kind words. I am really excited about the project, and actually this week we had a meeting with all our collaborative partners… And I think we are getting closer to our goal: a robot with a human like sense of time!

      I think the initial reaction will be of shock… And a lot of worry about the capabilities of these systems. Humans are imperfect: we live, we do things wrong and we eventually cease to be. Artificial systems do not suffer these problems, and will probably be made to be optimal. Optimal meaning that they will be tweaked such that they will think and act without much error.

      I would like to think we will accept artificial life and see the benefits, but as we have seen throughout history… Human beings appear not to like the Unknown!
